ATL - Gees & Trees,  Left Texas Trick

Atlanta has more than it's share of hardcore rappers, hip hoppers, and thugs (we're #1 in crime in the USA), a look inside reveals alot of these folks are real. Sure, there's BS, but when you put on something like ATL And The Serious Crew's "Gees & Trees" and throwin' down as Left Texas Trick, take the fakers to the backyard and beat 'em hard. This disc has alot of everything, bare beat street poetry, big kickin' party hits, and it all stays real as the weed, the money, and the ho's all come center stage. Like I said, Marietta Serious ain't playing wanna be games, this bunch lives what they rap about, no quick dollar dirty south make-it-ups here. Like on "Flippin Dimes", the talk about the chrome and po-po on the war path come from experience, just like when they let the ladies have a piece on "It Ain't Hard To Ball", this is how it's done, use what you've got, and do whatever it takes to survive, and do it with gangsta style.

"Big Ballin" was the first cut off the disc to hit the net, and people want more. "It's You" has got a strong smooth feel, as does the title cut ("Left Texas Trick", at least it's one of the titles) though radio can't play it, you can be damned sure the underground will. I have a feeling ATL has probably scored the big time or is about to, 'cause the demos that came with the commercial disc had potential too. It's only a matter of time and will, till ATL and his crew bust some major balls. Thugged out, smoked out, and ballin' hard, the crew's comin' in with the kill.
